I'm Everic White.
I'm a Digital journalist and social media strategist.
I was most recently a senior platform editor at the Wall Street Journal where I led nightside homepage, app, and alert production and strategy. Before that, I was the deputy social media director at Forbes, where I supervised the social media team, managed relationships, and developed social-first content to promote Forbes’ flagship lists, events, and other editorial programming.
Between 2018 and 2021, I was a social media editor for Bloomberg Quicktake, where I created enterprise, live, and breaking news content for social, digital, and OTT audiences. Prior to that, I studied at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, concentrating in urban reporting and specializing in interactive journalism. I’ve previously worked at The Guardian US, NY1 News, POLITICO, FiOS1 News, and CNBC in social and digital production and editorial roles.
Before my time in journalism, I worked with brands such as eBay, Samsung, Unilever, IZOD, AXE, AND1, American Idol, Cap'n Crunch, and BET as a social media manager and digital strategist. I created an online customer support portal, curated user-generated content, designed content strategies, and came up with social media programs for live events.
I was born in Mount Vernon, New York, and graduated from Rye Country Day School in 2006 and Drexel University in 2011. In college, I wrote for my personal site Dear Whoever, a collection of open letters directed at figures in hip-hop, sports, politics, and black culture.
