Charlie and the Apple Factory

I've been a faithful Mac since 2006, but wasn't always as sold on Steve Jobs' baby as I once was. Apple products and their fanboys were annoying at one point, mostly because I was too busy playing Icy Tower and Text Twist to want to pay them any mind. Yet, I still was drawn in. Why and how do Steve Jobs and the Mac army make such addicting products? Obviously the marketing is big, but what else makes #teamiPhone so devoted. College Humor takes a stab at why in the video, brewing up a funny parody of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. What Charlie finds in Steve Jobs' factory might make anyone hold off on Mac purchases for a little while. Plus, it's never too late to get a good laugh out of Bill Gates' decade-long fight to get the edge back for Windows. Check out the video on whatever iProduct you have...

BP Spills Coffee

All I can say is WOW! I feel like the people who made this video might have been sitting in on an actual British Petroleum meeting before filming, because the video basically shows how ineffective BP's been with this oil spill. The amount of time in between the oil coffee spill and the top-kill cardboard solution was way too long, and after they ran out of ideas, they kind of just have been running around like chickens with their heads cut off. If British Petroleum is angry about all of the parodies and jokes that are being flung their way now, I pity them even more. Bad regulation and an overall lack of remorse about their effect on the environment are bigger issues than their dwindling stock prices and soon-to-be inevitable bankruptcy. I guess when you've created the biggest environmental disaster in human history, its hard to see things from a humorous perspective...

Maybe this will help... No, it just made them look worse.

ItsTheReal - Def Jam Vendetta: Shyne vs. 50 Cent

ItsTheReal is at it again with their hip-hop comedy shorts. This time they take on Shyne and his ridiculous attempt to get back on by getting at 50 Cent. Now, 50 already has a problem with starting beef to boost his sales. But at least he's semi-good at it. Ja Rule hasn't been heard from since, and Fat Joe can't sell water in a desert these days. Shyne, however, comes out of the pen, puts out a few sub-par tracks with weird vocals, and goes at 50. And that's in the course of 2 weeks! By that virtue, ItsTheReal has a good call on the fight. Maybe if Shyne could put together a mixtape or something, he'd have a better chance. Otherwise, he's a 2nd round knockout. Check the video out...

Scarface x 3rd Grade

In the back of your head, you can't help but think there's something seriously wrong with the events transpiring in the above video. Yet at the same time, there's something really, really clever about this 3rd grade production of Scarface. The cocaine is replaced with popcorn, the 'fucks' with 'fudges' and the real guns with NERF guns. I feel like a play of this sort is an interpolation of every Disney movie, Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network show, or cartoon character that had double meaning for the adults watching. Where the jokes would go over the kid's head, the adult would be laughing hysterical at a dirty quip. I suppose if the parents are cool with their kids re-enacting a violent, drugged-out cult classic, then so am I. Not to mention, the acting is pretty good for an elementary school play. The makeup, moustaches and Miami Vice-esque suits seal the deal for this production. Hopefully Shottas or Belly is up next, and I can see my favorite quotables being skewed for virgin ears...

Buy Baron Davis' Beard

For the longest time, I've been challenged in the facial hair department, as many of my friends can attest to. That's exactly why seeing this commercial gave me the utmost hope for my follicular growth. Baron Davis obviously has checked out of the 2009-2010 NBA season, so he's decided to go the Steve Nash route and start doing Youtube videos. I have to say that the Deron Williams cameo was classic, as most people notice that D-Will's hair looks digital. Whatever the case, check out Baron's new infomercial, and maybe you can reap the Boom's Beard advantage...

ItsTheReal - Charles Discharged

Charles Hamilton had a hell of a year in 2009, to say the least. I kind of wrote the man off after the Normalcy EP came out, just because it didn't come hard enough and seemed like Chuck was too late in trying to recoup his career. Videos like this from ItsTheReal show not only that Charles might not be done, but also he has no problem poking fun at his mishaps. As a matter of fact, it's somewhat exciting to see that Charles is sober and ready to work again. Whatever the case, the video is hilarious. Check out Charles Discharged...

Steve Nash is... The Most Ridiculous Man in the World

Steve Nash is a Hall of Fame point guard, two time NBA MVP, and apparently, a budding comedic filmmaker. Instead of going the traditional route of having a cheesy, slow-motion commercial, where he does moves you've already seen him do to a dark background and cool music, he's making his own Vitamin Water commercial. The ad clearly pokes fun at the Dos Equis commercials and put Steve Nash on my radar for one of the funniest dudes in the NBA (especially now that Gilbert Arenas got knocked off). Check his new Vitamin Water commercial, and his older mock-infomercial...

Sesame Street vs. Bill O'Reilly

Just when I thought Sesame Street couldn't be cooler, it became the coolest show ever. My hatred of Bill O'Reilly is no secret, but I could suspend my vendetta to check out Sesame Street more or less make fun of TV shows much like his. Even better, was that they called their news station POX News. Spill O'Reilly sounds pretty conservative if I do say so myself. I can't say I agree with subconscious liberal messages, but when they're leaning liberal and still educating kids, can you really complain??
